TIH KAT

HOTEL / BALCHIK / BUILT 2013

TIH KAT is a complex consisting of 6 vacation villas located on a natural terrace in the neighborhoods of Balchik, nearby the sea side. The design project suggests total reconstruction and expansion that includes an additional upper floor of each building. The villas remain detached, but they receive larger living rooms, roof terraces and more bedrooms. The roof terraces command a great view over the sea. The grey bulks left from the previous century are transformed into elegant curved shapes, refreshed by the white plastering and the warm color of the natural stone lining on the facades. The red touch of the stone and the timber pergolas on the terraces give special attention to the entrance, the new supporting elements and the plinth, and render warmth to the overall image of the vacation village.
